Oysters Kilpatrick Quick Food Recipes

Oysters have a hard, irregularly
shaped shell that protects a gray- coloured, plump inner body. It is a good

Ingredients Quantity
Rock salt 100g
Fresh oysters half shell 12
Cold water 100ml
Lemon juice 15ml
Bacon, small strips 2
rashers
Worcestershire sauce 40ml
Lemon wedges 3
Method
1. Lay a bed of rock salt on an ovenproof service dish or oyster plate.
2. Mix the water and lemon juice together in a bowl and wash each oyster
and shell to remove all grit. Drain well and place each oyster back in its
shell.
3. Neatly place the oysters on the rock salt bed and evenly distribute
the bacon on top of the oysters. Pour a few drops of Worcestershire sauce on
each oyster.
4. Place the plated oysters under a preheated salamander and cook for
2-3 minutes. Garnish with the lemon wedges and serve.
